Hoy en día hay una tendencia a relacionar la innovación en educación con la tecnología. Pensamos que la enseñanza, para progresar, debe transformarse en un espectáculo multimedia, de colores y grandes conceptos. En Vocatic, creemos todo lo contrario.

La base de este sistema es el refuerzo múltiple. Diálogos en inglés te permite practicar 3 habilidades a la vez: oir, leer y vocabulario. Los diálogos consisten en 50 historias compuestas de las mil palabras más usadas. Cada historia se centra en 20 de esas palabras… vocabulario; el texto de las historias mejora tu reading y claro… el audio… tu oido.
Palabra por palabra, puedes pasar por todo el vocabulario más importante del inglés, escuchando, leyendo, reforzando. Aún más importante… estas palabras no están sueltas, puedes oírlas y verlas en contexto. Esta es una forma de estudiar rápida, eficaz y amena.
Recomendamos que se use de la siguiente manera: antes de nada…
1. Lee la breve descripción del dialogo en iTunes o tu página de podcast. Luego escucha el diálogo una vez.
2. Abre el libro que acompaña el curso, Surreal Stories 1, y estudia el texto y el vocabulario (Importante… los dos canales de podcast están relacionados – por ejemplo… unidad 1 de ‘los diálogos’ utiliza el vocabulario de unidad 1 de ‘las mil palabras.’)
3. Vuelve a escuchar el diálogo. Después de dos veces, la historia ya no será interesante, pero es en este momento en que el valor lingüístico empieza.
4. Una vez entiendas el audio, repite el listening 4 o 5 veces hasta que las palabras fluyan por tu cabeza como un rio de English…sin esfuerzo ni traducción. Este es el objetivo de cada listening.
5. No hagas la próxima unidad hasta que hayas experimentado el efecto rio.

Es el objetivo del efecto rio por lo que no hemos incluido cuestiones y otras actividades que se incluyen normalmente en estos recursos; distraen al estudiante de su verdadero objetivo: estudiar el texto y escuchar el listening hasta que esté en ese rio de English, fluyendo por su cabeza.

SILLY MAN: “Only joking…sorry, I thought it would be funny to give someone strange directions. It’s not something I do on purpose but I love to play jokes.* I often play jokes … especially on my wife…no, in fact, not often… I’m always playing jokes on her. The other day we were sitting on our terrace and I said, “The hospital called earlier about your blood test… they say they found something that they need to discuss.”
It was really funny because my wife’s a hypochondriac so she was worrying about it all day. She went to the church twice and then I told her it was a joke. She shouted, threw me out of the door, and shut it after me. She didn’t open it until the next day. Oh yes, jokes are always good to make you feel happy. On the other hand, though, I understand it can be a little annoying sometimes; but… only a little.”
JEN: “Erm…err…yes, fascinating, but what’s the way to the station?”
SILLY MAN: “Oh yes, sorry, I forgot. I didn’t forget on purpose it’s just that often when I start talking I seem to forget things. Anyway, the station is close. You take the first right, go right again, go right again, follow the road and then take a left. Turn left again at the statue, left at the library, and go straight up the street and then you’ll see the station.”
JEN: “You’re still joking, aren’t you? Just forget it…I’m going. I’ll find my own way.”
SILLY MAN: “Okay then….Yes, I’ve got to go, anyway… I forgot to switch the oven off so I have to rush home. Bye”
JEN: “Bye”SILLY MAN: “Ha ha…everytime you want to ask someone directions you’ll always remember me, won’t you?”
JEN: “Erm…I don’t think you should talk in the middle of the street, there’s a bus coming.”
SILLY MAN: “Ha ha ha…good joke…but do you think you can play a joke on the master of jokes?”
JEN: “No, really, there’s a bus coming.”
